The unexplained noise on the drive today turned out to be the bus deciding it wants to be lower - at the front at least.

Unfortunately it turned out that the adjuster grub screw had sheared. M14 - not a baby.
Glad I wasn't hammering along at 50!!

I don't know where they came from but I can guess at the design.
They came fitted to a second hand beam I bought to replace my rusty one.
I think it would be unfair to name names. I understand that over- tightening the lock nut can stress the bolt/grubscrew.
Items which fracture often show a small crack, witnessesed by discolouration, before failing. This just looks like a clean break!

Yes I agree it looks good but it would take me into a whole new world of jobs to be done if I went there.

It's a camper & it crosses fields well. Usually.
