Just as suggestion, for 76p I bought a resistor and then used an old headphone cable to make my MW radio play from an iPhone.

I think this might have given me the idea http://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/showthread.php?t=87095

I had to do a bit of experimenting to figure out the right connections to the volume control, works great (single speaker under the grill in the dash)
