This reminds me when i had a Clio Sport, a couple of Chavs were playing chicken in and out of the traffic (we were all sitting in a slow que @20mph) a girl stepped out from between two transits to run across in front of me. The damage looked similar but not as bad as that as the front and side of the car was badly scrapped. She was a very lucky girl. The police cautioned her for something like jay walking?. I didnt even see her hit the car i actually thought someone was throwing bricks as the windscreen and passenger side windows shattered.

Anyway it ended up costing me £1500 in damages and put my insurance up to £2000 from £500, and its stay like that for 3 years while i had a claim pending. shes looking £200K as the accident caused her to put on 7 stone and now has learning difficulties even though her worst injury was a broken arm

I hope there was no one else involved?

Pissed off as it's not gonna go in my favour, hit another vehicle on a roundabout who just stopped with no sign of brake lights straddeling two lanes. When asked in a not so polite way what they were doing the passenger replied the car just cut out showing some sort of warning light on the dash  . After pulling my car away all they had was a small crack in the bumper, bloody VW's  . As for insurance it's bad enough being 27 and mrs being 25 let alone after making a claim. Just glad i wasn't in the bay, don't think there'd be much left!! People make me laugh, nobody wants to get involved these days, nobody stopped and checked if anybody was hurt, just drove by making sure they got a good look!! Seb

there are so many people don't know how to take roundabouts properly, You'll regularly hear me shouting "pick an 'effing lane!" out the window

ouch indeed! Looks like a fiesta ST from the front fogs? I had one of those and also had a bump in it - rear end needing a boot lid and new bumper, though that looks like a bit more damage!

I broke down on a round about recently and nobody stopped to help for 10 mins until a nice bloke in a RAV4 got out to give me a push - people just sit in their "carcoons" and go into robot mode - hope you get it all sorted out o.k.

as a side note I've had two prangs that went into accident repair with the dealer (one on my fiesta and another on a previous Golf) - both times I had to refuse to collect it and make a fuss about the quality of the finish, the VW place sratched the boot lid replacing a side panel and refused to initially accept blame, and also the paint on the lower sill was shocking and needed peeling off and respraying - ford was paint issues, long story short is double check any finish at the garage very closely before signing anything as experience has shown me that the quality of the main dealer places is a bit hit and miss and I reckon they rely on most people accepting an average job ;)

Doesn't look too bad, would be very unlucky if you needed a front panel on it, but only looks like its cracked the tabs on the headlamp and pushed it back. Looks like the rads are intact too. Looks like a nice easy bolt on, bolt on job from my point of view!

Panel wise its prob' an easy fix but the AA chap who recovered it seemed to think that it had wiped out the air con and theres power steering fluid every where so i guess thats fecked too, it is indeed an ST Lard and a cracking little car it's just funny how you never feel the same about a car once it's been damaged. Will defo be keeping an eye on the quality of repair though, was going to use someone i know but need a courtesy car so having to use the insurance approved place. Anyway enough Non Early Bay chat! Cheers all.
