Not really technical but how do you get a good coverage inside these vents spraying through the vent slots without making a great tits up of a job. I'm not ready to do this yet but it's bugging me :? Can you use a paraffin gun for painting ?

I have thought of dipping the cat in paint and stuffing her inside for 5 mins each side but I'll get scratches as well

You can use one of the small air set-ups, like they use for craft projects. Kind of pen shaped. Time consuming, but good result.

Mask up the outsides of the vents and then spray as best you can the insides. I then got a long handled artists brush, put a bend in the metal bit that holds the bristles and used that to brush paint the bits I couldn't get to with the spray gun. it came out ok in the end.

One of these kind of things. They can reach all them awkward places.

Cheers, I'll let you know how I get on when I do it. Have to paint it due to finding loads of small holes hidden in filler for those vent extension ear type things to ram more air down which I welded up. Glad I found them now and not after I painted my battery trays and engine bay. My mum always said start at the top 'n' work down.
