Hi I have notice's that there is petrol getting into my oil?
The engine type 1 1600cc is fitted with twin 34 ict's new webber ones and a electrical fuel pump rated at 4-5psi
the engine has only done around 3000 miles. Has any one got any idea how's this is happening? :?:

Are you sure the pump is only putting out that pressure? even if it is that could be too high for some carbs - not familiar with 34ICTs though.
How is the pump wired in? is it definitely turning off with the ignition?

I have wired the pump to the coil. The pump is rated at that but it could be fautly.
I bought the pump from here http://www.vwheritage.com/ssp/Engine-Parts/Fuel-Pumps-Line/?templateID=ssp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It's the Facet Electric Fuel Pump.
Thanks

Taken for the top of the page you linked:
"The Facet and EMPI pumps are suitable for engine up to 100bhp. For engines over 100-horse power use the Carter rotary fuel pump. Pressure regulators are advised for all electric pumps and are necessary for the pumps that produce more than 4psi. "

It doesnt say what model they sell but this might help?

Have you got an inline fuel cut off solenoid, not sure but it maybe possible for the fuel tank to drain into the chambers when the engine is standing, if there is no inline cut off.

Also do you have any of the preheat system in place? Cold running engines (no thermostatc flaps) can alow the oil to get contaminated with fuel due to not reaching correct operating temperatures for heads and barrels.

Hi, no preheat system in place never had it on there since i had the bus 6 years now.
It does leak into the engine when she's standing. :|

In which case I would put an in line fuel cut off solenoid it sounds like the tank is siphoning through one or both of your carbs.
