Middle belly pan welded on.....I can hear the deathrattle of rust when I bang on the middle pan! :mad:

"68 only" wiper arm successfully mig welded back together (would cost £40 stg for a new one)

Not sure what exact colour it is....I have a spare dribble of paint that came in a tin with the bus....it says "Autocolour" on the tin...looks like it was mixed.

My plans are to get a stainless exhaust, new heat exchangers (or try and botch the old ones together), new air ductwork, new door seals. Take the belly pans off and fix whats underneath (not looking forward to that). Treat the rust inside the rear wheel arch and battery tray. Put on a new push button for the window squirter. New aerial for the radio, renew cracked rubber engine mounts, put a chrome vw badge on the front.
Tune engine/adjust carbs.

Really really confused as to how to tackle the rust. Everyone seems to have their own way of doing it and there doesn't seem to be one definitive answer! :shock: :roll:
