Hi Everyone need you to listen to the sound of my engine please (ignore photo's).
There is a constant tap/nock sound and was wondering if anyone could help diagnose.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Id start by adjusting the valves - sounds like valve clatter to me so start there.

Hopefully this will resolve it.

The oil is less than 500 miles old since the engine was last pulled.
The only two things I did not do was the tappets and clutch etc.
So maybe a good idea to do tappet check first. Weekend job.

Must admit it sounds ok to me but my history with engines isn't that great :msn4:
Was it quieter before then? What has made you think it has got louder??
As Johnny69 and Who have suggested have you checked the valve clearances??

I am going for tappets first as it sounds more of a clatter than a knock.
Just seems a little louder over the last couple of months.

Thank you everyone.
