Don't get me wrong I have a
diesel esp and would like to use it
When driving it has to go under the
Rock and roll bed with the flue tank
Doesn't the flue tank have to be breathable
So how can it be done safely and without
Stinking the bus out with diesel.

Ps my esp heater is currantly in the garage
Hooked up to a leisure battery and a big hole
out the side of the garage wall. All the neighbours
Think I'm mad. But at least I'm warm

Don't think the fuel tank needs a breather. Can't see a breather on the ones advertised as eberspacher fuel tanks

The red outboard flue tank has one
It's on top of the filler cap when your using it
Your supposed to loosen the black plastic
Wing nut on top I'm no expert

I've used my red spare fuel can quite a bit on my previous van without any problems. I drilled a very small hole at the top as a breather. No smells. Yes it could leak.

As was mentioned when I posed the picture, it was merely placed there for the pic. It will be anchored before use.

Bought a silencer today :D no more jet engine - I hope.

Phil.

Do you spend the night high on diesel fumes from the breather or is it okay? Thinking of buying one this week.

I'm thinking either the leisure battery or the fuel tank will have to go under the rock n roll bed as can't fit both in the engine bay!

No diesel fumes in the 4 years this has been fitted , i have another bus with a factory fitted ebberspacher and that smells a lttle on start up . but thats petrol . One of our customers had a petrol ebberspacher fully rebuilt by a ebberspacher dealer and he was told they do smell a little on start up. My diesel one has never even given off a whiff of any smell and my bus is fitted with a carbon monoxide alarm.
