is there any earlybay camping anybody know?

thats news to me i thought it was the other way around.

cant be that bad all we { me and bex} do is sit around drinkin and talkin **** so doesnt matter where we are.

what was so bad about plymfest? as havent bought tickets we just gonna roll to where we feel

john and bex

Well I heard from vzi and sw dubs I think that the facilities were awful such as the toilets being blocked and not very many of them also the plot sizes were small. In the end I guess u gotta test it for yourselves then vote with ya feet. I always look at it as if the show is ***** we can cruise around and to be honest I'd rather cruise round Newquay padstow etc etc not Plymouth
Either way have a great time 8)

ahh i see , well plymouth or newquay errr i see your piont, well we will dicide when we see the plymouth turn of, or should i say the bus will decide as to how he is feeling.

he normally lets us know how he is feeling, normally complains about summit.

Ive done Plymfest for the last 2 years and it as got issues.

First time i went (2nd year) i was in general camping and it was abit chocka but it was great weather and loads turned up.
Music was good and our gang had a good weekend. We had our own toilet which helped.

Last year i went with friends in club camping and that was rammed(mainly due to everyone seeing the previous years space) The music was great and once again i was mullered all weekend.

Both years there as been a problem with teenagers/syudent. The show is heavily advertised in the Plymouth area in record shops etc and its been taken on as a end of year party for Unis etc rather than having a ball. Its never worried me but you do get alot of young uns wandering around smashed (remember it well) but they have little interest in Dubs and seem to think the show is for them. In past years this as caused friction with the VW folk and also with over keen security inforcement across the board. Im not able to go this year and would be in two minds to be honest...................but

RTTS is also a good weekend but unless you want to stay on site with all the NOva Ravers etc, then it is really just a car park full of cars on the Sunday (i think the turn out as improved in the last couple of years). Newquay is a nightmare all weekend so we normally stay well away. You pays your money you take your chance. Devon also as plenty of nice beaches and quaint little villages within stricking distance of Plymfest. Tough choice.

thanks for the info on the two

well as we used to live in torquay maybe we will do plym for a day and see if no good then we can cruise devon thats a plan to me and the boss horse bex.

thanks again. john and bex.

Really didn't like Plymfest last year. Full of down and outs and is really a music Fest in my mind. Not only that we had tickets for the weekend and arrived Friday tea time to be turned away from the VW field as it was full, and relocated to a field miles from anywhere. We had to walk through a field full of nutters and bodys lying everywhere to get down to where things were happening.
We got the feeling we wasn't even at a VW Show. :(
Your choice i suppose and this is my opinion........................RTTS for me, mind you, i would say that as i only live 5 miles from Newquay, and anyway the North Cornish Coast has gotta be much better than Plymouth ;)

I will be in newquay for the weekend in my bus, not for any of the shows but for my one year wedding anniversary but will probably head over for the sunday bit of rtts, would be up for random earlybay park up / cruise about

Pete

Big sunday for us i think

All the local VW owners I know aren't going to Plymfest this year, quite a few vans damaged and crap camping last year. This was a good show for the first two years but it is now a more of musicfest for school kids being sold under the VW banner.
Shame it's only 2 miles from my house :D
