Power steering conversion using Corsa B epas

Hi...has anyone got involved in modding one of these yet?
The http://www.litesteer.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; conversion looks great but at a G plus vat its a tad pricey for me.
A guy on ebay http://www.mk2mania.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; sells the steering unit,wiring and relays etc for around £250 so with a bit of engineering it should be feasable to cut the column in half and get it splined etc? He says he's supplied quite a few kits to camper folk but hasnt done one himself yet

Fitted a Light Steer kit at MEB ,its not as simple as you might think ,more mods to column as inner is adjustable for length.also need speed sensor for load /speed so does he supply that ?(found it to light myself but for some one disabled ect a god send)so you might save on purchase price but its a lot of work/machining needed so add on that cost.
