Stumbled across John Maher excellent series of posts that describe in detail the build and spec of high performance Type 1 2110cc engine.

If you have not come across them before then I recommend you check them out. Very well written and demystify's many performance mods like dynamic balancing, and cylinder head porting.

He is the best at what he does, I have a 1776cc that he built which is ten years old next week and it still going strong.
