Let you guess the name of this thread.

Hit my first snag fitting the wishbone kit, it's not a biggie but I just need to relocate my front brake line and brake line bracket where it meets the brake pipe. It currently fouls the wishbone sideplate. Please note: this is already highlighted in the fitting instructions.

Looks like the bracket is spot welded to the chassis, so I have started to drill out the 4 spots on each bracket, not sure if I can use the brackets afterwards but I will get some more made up, or just make my own, can't be that difficult.

Has anyone removed these brackets before and should I be using anything more heavy duty to remove the bracket? Its just I've gone through one drill bit already

Cheers

Using a normal drill bit will blunt one quickly drilling spot welds. You can get a special spot weld drill bit that is much harder. Use a slow speed to avoid 'cooking' bits too quickly.

I will be Ant, just taking my time with it at the moment. I have fully documented my beam removal, and I'll also do one for fitting the rest of the kit. Main gripe is being at work when my bus is begging to be worked on, then when I eventually get home put the kids to bed I have 30 minutes to work on the bus before I go to bed.

Then every weekend so far its been pi$$ing down with rain. I'm determined to spend a good few hours on her this weekend even if it does rain, I have a huuuuooooooooooooooowge bit of tarp
