hi there just bought two new rear brake cylinders which was hoping to fit in the morning
i opened the box up and read the paper work which explains before fitting take them apart and smear some brake grease around the cylinder parts ????

basically is this critical or must it be carried out ??

thanks

question answered just never came across it before!! there again i have never fitted any before :D

thanks

Me either. All the brake cylinders I have fitted in the past simply fitted straight out the box. Seems odd the manufacturer would assemble the new cylinders without any lubricant.

Never had to do that before and ive fitted loads of rear cylinders to many diffrent cars over the years are they the mexican ones :(

chris they are Brax ones .made in demark :?
they were all sealed in a bag i have pulled them out they are all lubed ,i just happened to read the paper inside then noticed about the paste/ grease
