it might be the wrong year, but i prefer the later flatter squarer trim, like on my van

There is a guy on the samba currently offering a pair of those pointy ones.

I was able to source a pair of this kind, I believe they are called "Clipper" , but I may be wrong.

those are the later model, like on mine, the earlier ones as shown in all the other pics are more similar to splitty deluxe bumper trim, in fact i think they are the same on the rear

clipper was just another term for deluxes used in the US market (possibly also uk, deluxes we'ren't that popular i the uk) vw had to drop it as it infringed on the trademark of a transatlantic airline also called clipper

Thanks Fella

I have got a set of fronts from C&C but the rears will be a few months. I think they are the same as 66/67 splits, the bumpers are exactly the same so there should not be any difference, just need Euro spec ones.

Shame you sold them on....I would have bought them. :(

Jon

I have two full sets, one is NOS 8) (square type)...plus brand new rubber inserts.

i think someone on here had baggsies on one set but i can't remember who?

ordered 2 weeks ago along with a few extra incase anyone else is in for some. theres a 1 month turn around

the fat style trim ie 68/9 is as rare as rare can be. I have some fronts and i ain`t selling for 500 smacker. When i get the rear same story. Sad story is that we were breaking a 68 bay deluxe in sa and due to the scrap metal prices the guys that live in the townships actually sold the ally trims for scrap....**** if they`dve known me then they`d be minted.......they actually sold for £10....i`m well shocked

i`m a bit fussy about repro parts on my own bus...more the fool me

So am I usually but when it is an ally part that is very hard to come by I have to make a compromise sometime..
