What is the current thought on getting this bugger undone? Last time I did it (years ago!) it was with a 9ft piece of scaffolding pipe and a commercial socket - I see you can now get ratchet devices etc etc - any ideas? Access is a bit of a bitch where the van is - tried to tow it out of where it has been parked (with a friends 400bhp V8 MG ZT-T no less!!) and the rear off-side wheel is seized....

best idea to get hub nut is to carefully cut it off - new ones are about £5 from GSF. just be carfeul not to cut the thread - I use a 1mm cutting disc in the grinder....but a hacksaw might be more sensible.

if this is just to unseize brakes - hit your drums with the biggest hammer known to man... they might crack tho but at least they will be unseized
