Rear hubs getting hot......

I noticed last time out in our bus that the rear hubs seem to be getting hot, certainly the o/s anyway. When torqing the hubs i went to 246lb/ft but the castle was over the hole so it was tightened to the next hole available.

Could this be too tight or something else? It seems hot right on the hub nut so im guessing theyr a bit tight?

Not sure what the best course of action is :lol:
 
Not yet its on my to do list this weekend. I adjusted brake shoes recently but not driven it since so i will double check
 
Doubt its anything to do with the hub nut torque. Most peoples are probably overtightened for exactly the same reason you have said. I think mine are closer to 400ft/lb with no issue.
