Hi

Can anyone tell me if there should be any noticeable play in the rear wheel bearings, I replaced the outers about 2 years ago but not the inners.

When the van is jacked up the wheel can be rocked up and down by about 2 to 3mm and side to side, bearings run free and there is no rumbling when driving, are all van like this or should there be no noticeable play?

Thanks

Ian

There is some freeplay on rear wheel bearings otherwise they will become over tight when warm. Its around 2mm at wheelrim cold on new bearings.

If yours are not making any noise or rumbling either when driving or when jacked up it would suggest there is not a problem.
