Recommended garage and headliner fitter in Leicester?

Hi

Need CV joints and boots replacing on our 68 bus, but our local garage won't touch it because it's so old. Hubby would do it, but he can't get it all apart! Can anyone recommend a garage in the Leicester\Hinckley area that is good with early bays?

Also, we need a new headliner fitting - can anyone recommend someone near us? Have looked at Retro Trim but hubby says it's a loooong way to go so would prefer I find somewhere closer....

I have recently had a headliner fitted by custom classic retro in Loughborough they have a website if you search on google, his name is Vaughan green and does a top job!

Also have you tried steve at Johnson autoworks for the mechanics? He's In wymeswold near loughborough.

My mate tom works at absolute VW there a cool garage really helpful too Si the owner is a topbloke

try AL Tyres in Hinckley,dave who works there as had aircooled vans and beetles for years and still as,there do servicing and tyres etc phone no 01455 610854

if you live in the hinckley area,hubbadubba club meets at the milestone pub every fortnight next one monday 28th march from 8pm

Thanks, will definitely contact Custom Classic Retro tomorrow - we have a whole host of stuff we need doing that the 2 guys there could probably do together all in one place, and they're much nearer than the alternative options I was looking at.

Not sure if Wymeswold might be a bit far for the mechanics side, but will contact them if no luck finding anything closer.

I left a message on the Facebook group page too

I work away at the moment, so not in Leicester monday to friday, but we will definitely come along when I'm back home permanently (probably sometime around October unfortunately!). Will keep an eye out for weekend meets etc too.

I will give AL Tyres a call tomorrow.

...on second thoughts I did cycle through my complete arsenal of swears a number of times before the job got finished :lol:
