Has anyone fitted a removable steering wheel boss?

I fitted one to my '67 Beetle and plan to fit one on my '71 bay too. Makes knicking your van a whole lot more difficult if they can't steer it.

What you get is the quick release bit that attaches to the steering wheel and the boss which connects the quick release bit to the column. You just need to order the correctly splined boss for it all to work. I shortened the steering column on my bug to cope with the extra length the boss and releases added, but that's not that easy on a bay.
