Restraining spare wheel

Hi,

Rather simple question..but I am new to this game.. I have dec 71 crossover microbus..

My spare wheel is located in a bucket recess in the boot..there’s two steel brackets, one above the other that stick out half an inch on the panel right where the wheel is but no, bolt holes in them or obvious way of restraining the spare wheel to them. Am I missing a bit of kit that fixes the spare wheel to them..

Am just worried in the event of an accident it would fly forwards towards the passenger seat....

Advice would be very welcome

There's a bracket that secures the spare wheel to the body.

Mine had a strap that went around the wheel and the two brackets, a bit like a luggage or ratchet strap, holds it nice and firm. Lost it somehow and now use said luggage strap.
