Vanfest is back!

Vanfest will be held on the late May Bank Holiday weekend 27th - 29th May 2016 at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcs.

This is in addition to Busfest in September.

WHY COME TO VANFEST?

• We believe there is room in the events calendar for another robust family-friendly oriented type of event to be held at a established showground location EARLIER in the season. The new VANFEST will be that event.

• This new VANFEST will be DIFFERENT and will appeal to ALL VAN owners. We welcome; Bongos, Delicas, Bedfords, Citroens, Mercedes, Fords plus MANY MORE and (of course) VOLKSWAGENS.

• The new VANFEST is NOT designed to compete with the existing BUSFEST event. (BUSFEST will still be our premier event & will continue to be held at the Three Counties Showground – Malvern in September of each year)

• Recognising that we are re-launching VANFEST this year with a very short lead-time to the actual event (and that we will running at a reduced capacity) we have set our fees at very reasonable rates.

VANFEST 2016

Just a reminder folks ..

We are having another go at establishing a NATIONAL VANFEST event for ALL owners and enthusiasts of ALL MAKES of VANS & CAMPERS. (and that includes British, French, American, Italian, Japanese as well as German Vans )

We are presenting the event at the THREE COUNTIES SHOWGROUND, MALVERN over the weekend of 27th – 29th MAY.

This showground is very well facilitated and the perfect place to have an event (in all weathers!).

ADVANCE BOOKINGS for CAMPING are already being taken & the Camping areas are filling up. We will be open to DAY VISITORS on the Saturday & Sunday. (Please Visit our Website http://www.vanfest.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to book for Camping) .

We really do need you to get your bookings in as soon as possible so we can have a better idea as to how things are going (or not) to ensure we have enough facilities (and space) available to make your stay (and ours!) a lot more enjoyable. arty0046:



There is a fantastic programme of events and activities lined up. There will be a full range of Tradestands and a Show & Shine . Entertainment for Children and Adults plus some very impressive evening entertainments. arty0003:

We know that we are up against a calendar that is dominated by VW type events and we still (of course) welcome and expect a lot (many) Volkswagens will come to the “New” VANFEST .
BUT, we are now hoping to create a whole new type of van event which will be attended by enthusiasts and owners of ALL makes of van and camper where owners of all vans will be able to share ideas and see how things are (or used to be) done with other van & camper manufacturers. This we believe will produce a lot more interesting things for people to look (and talk) about. :beerchug:

We are keen to see an impressive showing of other make vans and campers at Vanfest. With this in mind for the first event (as well as the traditional Show & Shine) we will be presenting a “Malvern Vantasia Vehicle Display” where anybody who wishes can park and display their vehicle and if they want to, promote their club as well. We have the beautiful Severn Hall and the Main Arena available for this.

Having been within the VW Transporter event scene for many years (decades) and part of this and many other clubs, Forums & facebook groups I can see that (underneath!) we are all the same & have similar thoughts, concerns and needs for our beloved vans, all of which can and will be served well by establishing a NATIONAL VANFEST event.

LATEST NEWS -

Campers will be able to stopover on the SUNDAY night at NO extra charge.

This will allow you to go to the GIANT FLEA FAIR which will also be on the Three Counties Site on the BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY.
Please note that the Flea Fair is a separate event (not part of VANFEST) so there will be a separate entrance charge to that for that (£4 per person - taken at the Flea Fair Gate on the Day)

This is the LAST CALL for those of you who want/need to book ADVANCE CAMPING TICKETS for this year’s Vanfest :shock:

We will be CLOSING our ADVANCE BOOKING System on SUNDAY 8th MAY

After that you will have to wait & Pay MORE for your CAMPING if you pay at the Gate. :shock:

REMEMBER; You can also STOPOVER for FREE on the SUNDAY NIGHT and attend the GIANT FLEA FAIR also being held at the Showground on the Bank Holiday Monday

(Please note; The Flea Fair is a separate event to Vanfest so there is a £4 per person entry fee if you go to it)

Vanfest 2016 - Current (ADVANCED) Price for CAMPING ADULT is (just) £30 plus £20 for your camping Unit.

Pay on the Day CAMPING ADULT price will be £35 plus the £20 for your Camping Unit.

OK FOLKS this is the very FINAL REMINDER that we will be closing the ADVANCE BOOKING SYSTEM for CAMPING for our Vanfest event THIS WEEKEND (on Sunday 8th MAY). k

So if you want to take advantage of cheaper priced tickets & a guaranteed camping place in one of the prime campsites within the actual showground itself them please get your bookings in NOW.

VANFEST 2016 – NEWS (MAY)


OK, we can now give you a bit of an update as to how things are going with our new VANFEST event. arty0046:

CAMPING

Advance bookings for camping are now closed BUT we do have plenty of camping space available to us this year SO you WILL still be able to come to the event and pay at the gate on the DAY (and be sure that you will get a camping space).

Those of you who have already ordered camping tickets should be receiving them in the next few days. arty0006:

There will only be ONE Entrance for Campers & Day Visitors & that will be Via the YELLOW GATE

We will aim to get as many campers on site as possible before expanding into the North Camping Areas.
Entrance for all Pedestrian Traffic will be via the North Pedestrian Gates.

We will open the Camping Gates from 10.00am on Friday 27th May.

SOMETHING NEW FOR DAY VISITORS. arty0006: arty0006:

It is often the case at many events that some of the best vehicles are to be found lurking in the Day Visitors car park!.

We want to change all that and give Day Visitors (and their vans) a much better deal and a chance to really be part of the event. (and to save a lot of legwork for people trudging through car parks looking at vans!).

We have scope (and space) this year (on the Saturday & Sunday) to allow Day Visitor Vans to come on to the site as they arrive and be part of our MALVERN VANTASIA DISPLAY.

Please note this will only be open to VANS arriving at the event up until the time the display areas are full. Then Normal Car Parking arrangements will have to be used.

ALL Day visitor vehicles must then vacate the site by midnight

DAY VISITORS & EVENING ENTERTAINMENT

Some of you might want to come to the site on the FRIDAY and stop on for the Evening Entertainment (ULTRA 90’S). Not a problem, you will be able to come to site on the Friday AFTER 14.00, park in Day Visitors Car park and attend the entertainment but must vacate the site @ Midnight. (Price per Adult – just £10)

The event will be FULLY open to DAY VISITORS on the Saturday & Sunday. Gates open at 09.00 & Day Visitors can stay on site until MIDNIGHT. so you will also be able to see our SATURDAY EVENING ENTERTAINMENT as well ... A full VANFEST CABARET featuring many different acts
