Here it is, the birthplace of the Early bay, VW's commercial vehicle plant at Hannover. Over 10 million types 2's built here since 1956!! Not much to see really, made a brew in the car park, soaked up the atmosphere and admired the factory fresh new model T5's .

On to Wolfsburg the home of VW, the Volkswagenwerk with it four famous chimneys.

The fantastic Commercial vehicle pavillion at the Autostadt.......it was like being a big kid, sitting in and playing with all the vans and making brum brum noises etc

Need more kids now! 8) The Autostadt is like a cross between a museum and a theme park, awesome day out for big and small kids alike.

The car towers, all these cars are waiting for customer collection.......it's really cool when the robot arm shuffles them around.

We all had a brilliant trip. On the journey there it really feels like you're heading for mecca, and it feels like a really special place when you are there........Go on dubbers, make the pilgrimage. 8) 8)

Cool! Brings back memories of last year's trip. 8) Did you also vist the Volkswagen museum, which is separate from Autostadt? And did you camp on the Campingplatz am Allersee?

Thanks for your comments guys :D :D We really wanted to see the other Volkswagen museum but unfortunately it's only open from Thursday to Sunday at this time of year  Oh well, it's a good reason to go back. 8)

Yes we stayed at Campingplatz am Allersee and would recommend to others, €16 per night for bus+2 people, excellent facilities and walking distance from the attractions.

Brings back memories of last year for me too. Autostadt is really cool, also stayed at that campsite. Wish i wasa doing it all again this years.

Also how weird was the lamborghini bit?
