Rock and roll bed 1200 width

I'm starting from scratch with my interior and was planning on buying a Rusty Lee rock and roll bed. In order to have the rear seatbelts working well I had a full width in mind but they also offer a 1200 width bed... Anybody got one and able to show me their setup? I'm keen too see if it would be a viable option

Other good interior ideas that work with 3 point inertia seat belts also welcome!!

If you’re planning to sleep in it, go full width. Plenty of storage under a full width Rusty Lee

I went full width bed and then 3 point belts for the kids in the back.

Nice.... I see you went for seat belt risers... You think they're essential for a full width bed? That's one reason I think a 1200 bed would be a good idea.
I also still have the spare in the same place so I feel like the 1200 width doesn't lose much practically as a bed

You think the difference would be that noticable? I also have a feeling it'll be the wife and or kids in the bed and I'll be in the awning on the floor

With a narrower bed I think you are then looking at 3 point belts routing through cabinets etc
I’d much prefer mine mounted from the original factory belt points.

Hi Davidoft, I have seen your name in threads about seatbelts! They were pretty old threads I thought and wasn't sure if you still did them. How much do you sell them for? (PM if you prefer)

Yeah, I've sold my 3 1/4 width westy setup for this reason but I was thinking the 1200 isn't that much more narrow than a 1500 full width and could work with a nice arm rest or shelf either side for USB outlets, light controls etc
Just can't seem to find any pictures of one installed...I might email Rusty Lee direct and see if they have any

I did my interior from scratch and replaced the 3/4 width bed with a full width Rusty Lee, I also have the risers from Davidoft, which are essential unless it's for small children. Something I plan to do also is get an insert to put in the spare wheel hole, so that when we park up I can put the spare under the bus and have a bigger bed.

I've gone down the same path - Rusty's full width and seatbelt risers. Wish I'd known you did them @davidoft as I got a LH early bay one off eBay and a RH late bay from Heritage(?).
Not fitted yet, but hope the RH one fits. But at least I know where I can get them from if necessary!

ours is 1.2m/4ft, from SJS not Rusty Lee, and not bothered about seat belts as kids have long flown. Cosy and comfortable. Side unit by bed is 20cm wide

Hello. Please can I ask what the "risers" are and if I will need them? I'm waiting for the exterior on my 1972 "crossover" T2 to be finished before fitting the interior which includes a newly purchased full width Rusty Lee rock and roll bed. I want to install new 3point belts at each end and a lap belt in the middle. Will I need risers or are there bolt holes higher up to mount into? I know there are lower holes as it currently has three lap belts. What belts should I be looking to buy? I want nice new front ones too as well as one for the buddy seat (which I haven't decided of that'll be a lap or a 3point as yet).
Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks. Lee

The riser lifts the height of the over the shoulder point for a better angle , the mounts to attach the riser to are the upper seatbelt mount point under/on the window frame and another approximately 6 inches lower, not sure on the belt spec as it’s been a long time since I’ve bought one , but not the rear one that most places sell, you need a front 3 point ideally with a webbing receiver as it’s easier to operate the bed
