Routing Fuel lines

Hi fellas

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question but do the fuel lines to each carburettor (34ict) have to be of similar lengths!? Was going to route a line from the mechanical pump to the regulator mounted on the left of the engine bay a T piece and then a smaller fuel line to the left carb and run a longer length behind the fan housing to the right carb would this be ok?

I don't think it makes any difference as that is what I did. I don't need a regulator but have the fuel line routed from the pump to a T piece by the left hand side carb (also Weber 34 ICT) then a longer length to the right hand side carb.

Just have a consideration for keeping any restrictions in the lines similar on each side. I.e. as an extreme example, don’t put 20 elbows feeding one carb, and none on the other side. Every difference will contribute to a slight drop in pressure. Assuming you need to make a 180 degree bend at one point to feed one of the carbs, try and keep this as wide as possible; both to minimise pressure drop, and to avoid stressing your fuel line.

Cheers Moseley yeh don’t think I’ll use any elbows anyway mate I reckon I’ll get a nice wide bend in the fuel line to the right hand carb to avoid stressing it too much and the left hand carb will come off the T piece but will obviously be shorter than the right side.

The lengths don’t have to be equal and providing the pipes aren’t kinked the bends won’t really affect either.
