Hey gang,
Anybody know of the best way to soften the forty odd year old rubbers , that go on the bumpers.(door step)
Thanks to gambit I now have a decent pair unripped. They are however quite stiff, and was wondering if any
of you lovely peeps have a remedy. Any suggestions appreciated.
Thank you :|

I've had great results using the Autoglym vinyl and rubber trim stuff...

Everything on my bus was bone dry and this definitely helped moisten it up a bit. Even my crispy headlining!
Not so much fun getting it all over yer glass and paint tho.

If you want them really black, could try this stuff. Certainly works a treat on dry plastic

I once fed an entire bottle to the bumpers of a mate's disco. It drank the lot

A friend of mine has given me some STUFF from the printing industry that keeps the rollers soft.
So will try a little on my old ones and if that don't work I will venture into the Autoglym world.

Thanks for the assistance guys, will report back when either fixed or f....d.
