One brand of the really heavy stuff is Zinga:

It's sold by the Kg at about £22 per Kg so not the cheapest but the next best thing to hot-dip galvanising. Might want to check the surface prep guidelines as it needs a good surface to key into. It can be overpainted.
If you lightly sand it when dry (wearing a mask!) you get a metallic sheen, not that it needs this though.
