How safe is a standard rock and roll bed not the hinges on boards but the metal type u can purchase from jk or vw heritage etc. Just that we got two young kids and although im not planning on speeding around in our van u have to consider other idiots on the road !

Does anybody have pictures of the boards on hinges? Is there a lock on it to prevent it folding down when pushed by luggage from the back? I'm thinking of maybe converting my box to accomondate people sitting in the back.

Cheers

The Z hinges don't work in that way. It goes from a seat to a bed by lifting the lid that you sit on, pulling it forward and pushing the back backwards....if that makes sense!!?

Not Z hinges but a full one, it won't collapse if luggage shifts and pushes against it, you need to life the base up and then pull up and forwards - imagine the Z hinges are similar?

Maybe this helps?
