Salvageable panels out a 72 Cross Over for an EB?

Steering box is the same, or it was on the 72 crosser I broke a year or so back

There is maybe a point in the year then, when they had the newer model steering box fitted because they had changed the front chassis legs on all the 72 s so maybe that was part and parcel of getting ready for the new steering box. With the cross dressers it was nearly all the stuff on the rear and the front was left pretty much as it was cosmeticly <<< glad I don`t know how to spell that word :lol: But the whole thing was a gradual change over process to metamorphesise into the late bay, so does that make Early Bays the catapillar of the VW world ???
