Ive just collected my company car from the local Ford garage after having a service and noticed that they have a tick sheet which they complete to show that all service items that have to be checked/changed/adjusted etc have been done. I would like your input to compile a definative list of things that I should do when servicing my van....As an example we all know the obvious things like checking the tension of the fan belt but how many of us would think to check the pully alignment?
My list to check, change, adjust is:-
engine oil
gearbox oil
plugs/points/ht leads
air filter
brake fluid
brake pads
handbrake
windscreen washer fluid
belt tension
pully alignment
tyre pressure
tyre wear
light bulbs
shocks
grease points on beam/stearing box
grease hinges
oil locks
clutch cable
horn

I know that a list would make it less likely that I would forget something..Also it might be a good thing to have to double check that everything had been done if you are paying a profesional to service your van.

Please add to the list anything that I have missed.

Cheers
