Servicing my 1600 twin port.... Direction you put the silver plate between the block alternated stand! Or dose it not really matter

I put mine on this way round - although not sure if its correct!

Same at Stu on my bus, but never fitted a paper gasket as well? Never seen one in the kits?!

Its that way around to allow oil to flow back easier I think. It stops oil sitting on the plate.

No I didn't have the paper part neither. I thought the same as you but the picture in the manual has it turned 90 degrees! So who's right! Thanks guys

Not sure it makes a lot of difference the rotational direction, mine might be the same as the manual.. Can't remember, it went on in the direction which it fit without flattening the 'fins'

Fins down with openings to the right.

(Makes sense - think about the oil flinging rotating bits).
