shift rod meant to be bent?

The rear of my shift rod is bent. like this

is this normal or do I need to straighten it? the is bent sideways

the rest looks normal

Assumed not meant to be bent so straightened it.

Kept the original plastic bushings as they weren't worn and the replacement ones I got from jk were absolute sh1t3 quality. Surely some UK plastic company could make them?

Had ours out only yesterday - it wasn't bent like in your picture. Think you've done the right thing.
