As I understand it, I need another x2 'tabs' to make the x3 tab fixing points.

Is there anything else I need to do / buy?

Will the original chrome headlight rings fit, or do I need Golf Mk1 versions?

Thanks :party0047:

I have a US import crossover so already had the three tabs, but it is my understanding you only need to tack weld on two additional tabs. I remember someone having pics of doing this bac in the day - pre 2013.
As for the headlight rims, I believe you can still use the headlight rims if you detach it from the sealed headlight unit - although you will have two empty screw holes.

Shameless plug - if you are after some original rims let me know as I have a pair going. pm - happy to do a deal and post on to you:

Neat! I will give that a go then. Thank you.

Thanks, but I'll try reusing my old ones for now, if that doesn't work, at least I know you have some!
