took the van out for a little run the other day and baring the fact that im scrubbing out on any lump in the road im not 100% confident in the laoding in my current smart car tyres... they're not new and where already on my old 4.5 flat4 fuchs so would be happy changing them, ive seen a lot mentioning other sizes but noting solid on 4.5's any idea's or a link to some more info would be great :)

oh its narrowed 4.5 inches and slammed on the floor

If it's super low the. 165/50/15 should do I would think
And if your gonna raise is a touch then 165/55/15.
I doubt either of these are greater load rating than you have tho.

Use van rated tyres if you can get um it makes a hell of a difference on driving, steering, braking. I've been there done that but my tyres are as small as yours.

Search on here there are a few threads about it

Smallest commercial-rated tyres I could find were 185/60 R15C Continental VancoContact (load rated at 92/94)

We fit (and run) 165/50/15 XL which have a greater rating than smart car tyres (not by much) but never had an issue with them
