Slide door locking mechanism!

Has anybody ever come across the problem of locking the Bus from inside.... The mechanism shuts and locks great from outside....

yea I have,

if you look at the catch, when you lock from the inside a metal rod thing slides out on top of it.

On my bus this catch was fouling on the bit that bolts to the B pillar. Loosening the bit on the B pillar and moving it up fixed my problem
