Sliding door protector Help!

Hello, I have just got myself one of these, I was told it was an easy mod to get it to fit as it is for a LHD but I think I am an idiot, but does anyone have any pics of theres as I can not work out where about it fits

Apart from in the sliding door area just before you smart arse's get in

its abit of metal that goes on the foot area of the sliding door so when it closes it does not ruin all my paintwork
