hey peeps. my sliding door runner is knackered after a dodgy repair in the past and everytime i open it the door now falls off. people have told me that the rail needs to be replaced but its going to be costly. just wondering if there is any way i could fix it on a budget. i really want to get a pro job on her but its going to be costly and a swine to do :( any ideas ? cheers. :)

Does the back end of the door fall off?

It could just be the nylon block needing to be replaced. Do you have any pics of your runner?

I replaced the nylon block on mine when it started falling off, now it closes perfect :)

If its the bottom runner, i had the same problem. The lip on mine became bent, so when i opened the door, it came out of the running channel. Then the U shaped hinge bent (when the door fell off) so my nylon snapped. The repair shops going to try bend the runner back, but i think i'll save for a replacement.. even though i know he'll do whatever it takes to get it running smooth on my budget. I'll let you know the outcome
