Just 2 days ago I fitted a new seal from Status Vw around the sliding door, it fitted in snuggly. Everything has been A ok with the door opening & closing, but today whilst giving a demo to the girlfriend the door won,t push shut :?:
The forward part of the door shuts in great but the rear of the door won,t close in against the seal :?: The seal has not moved or sticking out anywhere I,m stumped any ideas?
Thanks

Don't show it the girlfriend again, this might sound silly but mine does that unless when closing I put my hand on the back and push in when closing, but its fine from the inside.

It might be worth taking on the track cover on the outside of your van and close it slowly to see if it is catching anywhere.

i dont mean to state the obvious but do you realize after you shut the door if you lift the handel upwards it puls the back end in?????

again sorry if you allready know this

hehe i wqs gonna say the same thing.

if you SLAM it hard it pulls in but your not supposed to, and obviously now you cant due to the new rubber. Lifting the handle will lock it in tight.

  Dont you guys read the handbook - ever

If you dont have one you can download and print off a copy - theres loads on the web.

No  ...But I do now..Cheers :D

Bloody fantastic :D tonight I just ran the door smoothly shut & lifted the handle & the back end of the door pulled in :D
Crackin technology that.
Thanks guys

I didn't realize for ages either but thats because it didn't work, then i found out about it and had it fixed

You might need to adjust the catch on door pillar nearest the rear of the van then.

Too far out and it could be doing "two clicks" when you slam the door and sitting too far out.
Too far in and it the door might not be able to pull in all the way to the second click.
Hope that makes sense!
