i use them and they seem to do the job , used them a lot on tow bars in the past and can't see a problem with them !.

Anyone else use them without problems , or are they a as bad as people make out ?.

i use them only if i can't solder the joint, they're ok if crimped well and actually used on the correct grade wire, red are smaller than blue etc, but i'm not a fan as such, scotch breaks now they are great when you're camping mmmm drinkypoos.

Not a fan myself.
Crimps with heatshrink are way better and more reliable long term.

They're ok in an emergency - i.e you're away in your van and need to get home. Soldered joints all the way for me ;)

Every one of the hundreds of Realm and keystone actuator valves at work come with scotch block as part of the standard assembly - and they cost a fortune!

Proof that in the right environment/application, its more than upto the job. As previous post said - just look untidy tucked behind the dash!
