Hi,

I used this:

http://www.screwfix.com/p/flashing-tape-225mm-x-10m/72438" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I used about 2 1/2 rolls, did all doors, tailgate, sides, under the bed etc, didnt do the roof as i have a pop top. And most area's were double thickness too.

Doors and panels now have a "thunk" instead of "clang" so it has toned down the panel vibration. No metallic "ringing" like before. Worth a look i would say

And the other 1/2 roll - well, i took apart my dishwasher and soundproofed that too! :lol:

Cheers!

I also used them, good quality and easy to work with. I used 3 packs to do all the internal panels & doors also over the rear wheel arches. I used closed cell foam for the floor and over engine bay. Hope this helps.

so not to sound stooopid but and where do/did you fit these???
I travelled in the bus on me own yesterday and I found myself looking for strange noises(running new lump in).
the noise from the engine on accelerating normally(not thrashing I might add) was terrible.
I did have the footlocker door under the rnr bed open so I guess the noise will transmit through there but I want to sound proof as much as I can.
I know I wont be able to do all areas cos the furniture is in but anyone got any pics of what they used and how and where they stuck it all???

regards.

sharky.

Blooming heck!!!! I wish it was 50sqft. I've done everything apart from wheel tubs & cab roof which will be done shortly. Not intending doing the cargo floor as this will be insulted with different insulation. I ordered 100 and just ordered 30 more although a friend needs some to.

You don't need to cover as much as I did really, so possibly could of got away with 100... As mentioned this is expensive stuff.... But I've had very good reports from people who fit it...

In the pic below the roof sections could be spread out more, I did waste a bit to as initially tried to measure, cut, then fit to a nice tight fit but it's so sticky getting it into doors is quite tricky.... The roof was so easy my boy could do it...

I should say this is my insulation & deadening hence the reason for larger coverage. If just want to change harmonics a few pieces cut to the middle of the panels would be enough. Ben
