Realistically £3k i'd say. New gearbox and a few places needing welding and rear brake replacement! who said £6k + ?! Very nice bus though, i really like her!

its most prob the linkage not the box..... bit of welding and rear brakes i'd say its worth alot more than £3k

brakes sorted now was only a broken spring!taken me 3 months to sort it
its def something to do the gearlinkage as no gearbox whine just very vague changes :(
the welding that `needs`doing umm maybe needs is too strong a word the battery tray hasn`t fallen out just rotting at the front
the worse bit is between the engine lid and the rear hatch
but these bits you can live with I suppose :D

Sort the welding yourself and primer it, you'll add at least a few £K if its rust free.

£3K is way to low in the current market £6k maybe a bit high but if the rust was fixed you would be looking closer to 6K i think, im just going by what i paid and there were some experienced restorers wanting my van so i knew they wouldnt pay over the odds.

You'd get at least 5K for that. Early bays are the new splits in terms of prices going up, specially westy's. Get the work done and it will probably go for 7 to 8k... right time to sell though as it is moving towards summer the value goes up

true,the brakes are done now,cost £80
the welding all told is about £200 or so and its not structural just looks bad :(
driving muttley now,no response at all from ebay, soooo maybe happy dayz, who neeeds money anyway :)

... but what's like underneath ?

Bad sills, cross members, arches, chassis rails, outriggers, beam will turn a 6k bus into a 3k bus in no time.

If you have any photos of underside to reassure people then I agree 6 K is on the money - interior is indeed splendid.

Cheers

James
