So been on here for a while thought i would post some pics of my bus i bought in august last year, i had wanted an earlybay for a couple of years but after bugjam 25 and the rain on friday i was laying in my tent with the wife freezing cold and i turned and said " we need a camper" to which her replie was "sell the bug and you can get one!" so monday after bugjam i put the bug up for sale and then found the westy same day viewed it on the tuesday with the wife she gave the thumbs up so put down a deposit, the bug sold on the wednesday and i picked up the westy on the saturday. I have got some before pics as in the day i collected but photobox is playing up

this was before i lowered it
When bought the van it had a monza 4 tip on it which i hated so i bought a full exhaust kit from heritage and went to fit it now usally i would just feel for the bolts and crack on removing the bumper but this day i poked my head under th rear valance to locate all the bolts and found this
spider.jpg

YEP alive black widow spider to say i crapped myself is an understatement, so sprayed with carb cleaner which knocked it out of its nest ( its a web but looks like a nest ) i found out it was a black widow from GOOGLE as it had a red heart on its belly anyway trapped it phoned london zoo and they said to kill it so i did, since finding it i stuck the van on the ramp and checked everywhere and no more to be found :D, have also stripped the van bare and still no more( thank god )

Anyway this happened after the ace cafe meet on tuesday

After 5 hours i got home only 2.3miles from the breakdown i had told them it was carb troubles but its a long story and after a complaint i recieved a cheque from the AA for 35quid to help compensate for my inconvience.

So will update with new pics when my new twin 34's arrive and i fit them.

So update time.

Painted lower half and fitted alloys, toyota mr2 seats, sold the twins and went back to single carb....

Manifold £20 from bugjam
Stainless steel pipes/bends £50
