Spots fit well on the front of the bumper, super simple to wire in aswell. I prefer a helphos on the windscreen tho as its something I dont have to worry about getting "borrowed" by light fingered thievses

The Helphos is anice touch...but I prefer the bumper mounted spots, either 1 or 2 down to personal preference, or even the less common roof rack mounted spots...or mirror mount spots if you can find them....all down to what you think and what you like and feck the rest and there comments

i have a nice set of sealed beam with a shallow back, they sit nice and are just the right size and dont foul on the nose at all.

My only worry would be if you make contact with another car, you might end up with 2 dents in the front panel.

I remember seeing Ford XR2's & RS Turbos with dented bonnets a few years back...

Less is more if you ask me, I took my over riders of for the same reason. (I have had to repair the dented front panel).

If you do fit them, take your time choosing the right looking lights & spend time think how they would be best mounted & placed. ;)

Yum yum!

It's a pretty popular addition over here - especially if you've got a nice period NOS lamp to go on, like this for example...

How could it fail to improve the look of any vehicle?...

I've been thinking about spot lights too, what is the best way to wire them in?

cheers

Ian

wire them off the main beam so theres no mucking about you can splice or fit clips from the fuse box, its really easy to trace them back to the box so no hassles at all. mine took about 5 mins to fit male/female clips from halfrauds.

Nice van there.
What are those little circle things above the front indicators for?

Thanks! Those are small round white reflectors, which was a compulsery traffic regulations requirement on all vehicles (as well as small round red reflectors at the back) in South Africa, up to the early 80s, refer to this pic as well for a better view, (my own left side reflector is missing)!

BEWARE!!!
I had spotlights fitted to the front bumper just like some of the ones in these pics (2, from Halfords years ago) - whatever you do, don't go to Longleat! Oh, people will tell you to watch out for the monkeys, but no - if you have spotlights (or a towing ball cover for that matter) its the wolves you have to watch out for! We had stopped to take piccies, and the van started rocking as the little fluffy darlings gradually stripped all the wiring off the front spots.....

(although, looking at your location, might be more of an issue for you HotVWheels! :D )
