Spray Job

Hi All,

I need a bare metal spray job for my 71 Hi-top. Don't think there is much filler but probably best investigated. Bottom of both doors need patching. Solid and waxoiled bottom, arches etc.

Can anyone recommenced anyone in the Southampton/ Hampshire area?

Any idea how much I should pay?

I can recommend Stuarts Body Shop in Portsmouth where ours is being done. He's always got a couple of campers on the go and has some interesting other projects such as Citroen H vans at present. I couldn't say how much but why not pop down to see him. PM me for his details.

He carried out a lot of welding and respray on my Devon a couple of years ago, and did an absolute fantastic job. I was actually doing it up to sell it at the time, as I had purchased my Crew Cab. Having had the van for sale for over a year, I think within 2 months of the resto/paint job the van was sold, (and it looked the best it ever had in the 15 years I owned it!).

He's not cheap, that's for sure, but neither is the quality of his work. And because of that he has a healthy waiting list too, but if your nearby I'd pop in and let him have a look.

I have a library of pictures which he takes throughout each job, so I can send you if you are interested, (but be warned it will be a very large zip file!).
