that does look sweet mines not a deluxe either but im very tempted might upset a few purists but im not asking them to drive it...

It's very tempting, mines a Kombie but has a chrome sliding door hinge/arm, the kit looks very good quality the test will be on the corner sections of how good they really are. As always not keen on the price with purchase tax, shipping to uk, custom duties, the £ will be more than the $ price me reckons, nearer £400.

As far as the `quality ' goes, there`s only one way to find out  And that`s to get some brave Early B to fork out and get them and fit them. I don`t care really that mine was never a deluxe (ex panel) but I love the BLINGINESS and they look fab, so we need a volunteer ^^^^ could be the brave soul

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,, Very quick to volunteer other dogs ^^^ ;)

I don't like the look of the fixing kit so don't include that, trouble is will it match others ie; C&C fasteners/clips.
We really do need a brave soul to step up to the plate or maybe a group buy, we could save a small fortune in shipping alone. ;) :D Trouble is like myself me finks most of us are a bit skint at the mo. :x

skint   i was born with naff all in my pockets....and im proud to say.....ive still got most of it left.... :sad0049:

oh go on then, you've twisted my arm.... if you all want to chip in & get a set for me then I'll let my bus be the guinea pig! :msn4:

When the restorer suggested to me getting deluxe trim,I was dead against it,being a bit of a stock jockey, I said "No.No.No way, thats not what it is, it isn't original" etc as mine isn't a deluxe but, damn, this is the nearest I've come to considering putting it on.

p.s. Ozzie, what you worried about it fitting right for, after a few bottles of the old 'Nelson Mandela', it'll look right anyway

including the fitting kit,it works out at about £231 plus shipping.

they do say it fits properly though!

Thats not too bad Doris, wonder what the shipping costs are as it seems it comes from California.
If the corners are a good fit I'm in. ;) Bugger feeling the new year pinch, need something before the Spring.
Still need a Guinea Pig though as I'm a bit sweaty about those corners sections.

We have fitted this to 3 buses , our own 4 years ago. The plastic clips aren’t any good for the rear corners plus the rear corners have to be reshaped to fit.Be very careful with the paint work as this stuff is like a razor blades.

Thanks for the info, this is what I was waiting for as I kinda knew it was too good to be true. :(
On the plus side I've saved a few bob, but I'm still skint as before I talked myself in to buying it.

Hey Wilf what were the dreaded corner sections like, did you have to re-shape them?
I've heard before that Kieft en Klok kits were pretty good.
If they are good quality stainless steel cleaning should not be a problem I always give what stainless & chrome I have a good waxing, that usually keeps it looking good. ;)

Its $325 including the fitting kit, they just have the fitting kit listed showing prices.

Works out at £209 (+shipping) according to XE but I know if you pay with Paypal they make there own exchange rates up so you will pay more.

I've got to get a set for mine (a Deluxe) and I think its worth taking a risk, but I think i'd better let the bus land first
