Just ordered a set of these from IPS West - with postage to blighty - $385 (£253.67). Just in case you are deliberating over buying a new set, I have originals on my deluxe, they are dented and scraped but in good order, even after a good polish they somehow would not look right on a new stock re-sprayed bus. I saw the bus that Midland Paintwerks has (I think it's Brets?) in a picture taken in Southampton - the stainless steel belt trim looked the poodles privates.

VW heritage sell aluminium ones for £270 - ouch.

I've now talked myself out of it now, mainly don't fancy drilling 72 holes in to my body work,
would of gone for C&C rather than others the fitting kit is superior as it has metal clips & stainless screws they sell the clips seperately at just under a squid each you need 72 :shock:
I think if you have a light colour Bus it's well suited like White/Cream & prob needs the contrast & definition, in my vans case me thinks less is more.

These are of a high spec, professionally and carefully made . They appear to be exact copies of the original aluminium anodised trim, but as iI will not be fitting them until the spring can't be 100% sure. You get all the fixing clips (plastic - which you ought to replace with C & c clips), screws etc. The rear of the trim has been nicely folded over and the sharp edges have been eliminated. They look fantastic, an upgrade from the original, and cheaper than C & C or VW H, who only sell the anodised version. A little indulgent, but a quality product, - pure Elysium. I'll post a few additional shots later.

Did you get stung with import duties over here? only risk you run ordering from the states most of the time I've gotten away with it but I bought some snapon stuff the other week and got stung big time.

Is there no way of using trim tape the double sided stuff, maybe in conjunction with the clips

They do look nice, although mines a westy i would be tempted but dont really fancy drilling 72 holes ! Into it

That's what I'm worried about, :shock: just fitted the deluxe front grill trim from C&C, I'm not sure about it :roll: it looks fine if you have white/cream paint infact I think it needs it, but on mine Sea Blue which is a highly reflective colour i think the jury is out on it. :? My Wife made a comment "are you still Chavin up your Van" she maybe right.
Still don't fancy drilling 72 holes in my bodywork :shock: for stainless belt line trim tho.
I think Buses are like Women & drink we just don't know when to stop. :lol:

Anyway here's the C&C grill trim, Woz fink then?

you're right though...not sure about the trim against that colour :? funny you should think that about the deluxe trim against white paint as that's what 'wowed' me in the original post, I think you may be right about the bling on whites!
