Steering wheel query?

Dear All,
I need to be on the lookout for a new (stock) steering wheel for my '72 crossover - I've seen lots of different info regarding no. of splines/taper size etc but I'm still confused... can anyone tell me what i need to be looking for (part number would be great!) as I don't want to get the old one off at this stage...

look under the horn ring and check the part number.
it will end in a letter (B or D poss) thats the wheel you need to get.
