STEERING WHEEL?

Afternoon gents, I've just managed to get my steering wheel off, I like it but it's cracked to bugery.

I'm after a white one, best one I can find.
There doesn't seem to be a lot out there for early bay, Machine7s are for pre67, VHW are black.

So if anyone can please point me in the right direction to get a nice one, thanks. 8)

I also need to replace the bearing i think as there is movement if I could find it......... and had a clue how to do it, again, cheers.

Ok Machine7 contacted me, you can use the Banjo steering wheel with a boss.
They are ok but I prefer the two spoke.

Banjo wheels have far too much flex in them, I have seem MOT advisories given due to Banjo's being fitted

Yeah I'm not keen Alex, maybe I'll patch my old one up and refit, just got to fit the bearing or bush or whatever it is first, and hopefully find a nice two spoke, I like the flat4 ones but they don't fit.

I looked at a van in the summer that had one fitted ... I couldnt beleive the way it flexed! Shocking :lol:

That looks pretty good but my wheel looks good compared to what he started with.
I might just put the old one back on, I can't believe no one makes white ones.

I wrapped mine in hemp, been on for about 5 years...not to everyone's taste I'm sure

Found a rest place that would strip it back to the core and remould in white, takes about two weeks................ can't be arsed, so put it back on, until next time

I restored mine following the above thread, turned out alright, then sprayed it black again, don't see why you couldn't spray any colour you like
