i've got a "QUECHUA Tarp Hiking Shelter" (a bit like sparkywig) and had an upholster friend stitch on
the figure of eight fixing kit,it also came with 2 poles and ropes
probably cost £35 in all. i like it coz it covers the sliding door when open (stops rain dripping down
the inside

I bought a BusDepot one. I like it for ease of use, but it could use a little heavier material. When the sun is really hot, it can get warm under it, even though it is still shade. I am thinking of putting a tie dyed sheet on top of it to make it a bit darker.



I'm in the US though so shipping was a lot cheaper then it would be for you all.

I tried one similar to yours Kim, but as soon as there was any rain the canopy inverted and became a rather large pool until the frame collapsed.

LOL, yah not to much. We normally don't have any VW events in the rainy season. We did get rained on once though, but it must not have been a heavy rain because the canopy stayed up. It was at night so I didn't actually see it raining, just heard it from inside the bus.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, just now saw this.

It's just bolted through the fiberglass top. I have a flat piece of metal on the inside of each connection to help reinforce the fiberglass in those area.
