Finally took the cover off her today as I wanted to do some work on the poptop.
Whilst off and the sun shining, took this pic:

But also noticed this:

Not nice that bubbling - looks like next year, as well as the work on the chassis, some
body work will be required :(

Looking lovely in the sun 8)

its only a little blister, easily fixed

yup its good to see it as its how mine should look finished, i like the colour and the bubble is nothin' a spot blaster and a lick of paint will fix it without much grief.

looking good

They do like the sun it brings out the best in em....

get that bubble treated now before the weather gets in even if its just protected and can b finnished off when your ready.....

Thanks guys for your kind words.

Regarding the bubble/blister - we all know that they tend to look tiny on the surface,
but underneath

Will have a better llok this weekend when I'm back in the UK.

:D

Great looking Dormobile. great to see another one!!

Is your roof canvas original or were you lucky enough to source a new striped one ? I'm looking for a new green/white one.

Got a new one from Dormobile (you can find them on the Interweb!).
Pain to fit and still not right, but will do until she's road legal again (stops
the rain from entering and that's the main thing. :)

Thanks for the comments guys - appreciated :D

Thats a nice looking Dormy, how bad is the chassis on your one?

Near enough everything is knackered underneath :(
Needs the following:
Front Chassis Cross Member
Steel Heater Tube
Rear Chassis Cross Member
Front Outrigger and Jacking Point (Left)
Front Outrigger and Jacking Point (Right)
Rear Outrigger (Left)
Rear Outrigger (Right)
Rear Jacking Point (Left)
Rear Jacking Point (Right)
Rear Outrigger (Left)
Rear Outrigger (Right)
Outer Sill Type Sliding Door Side (Left)
Outer Sill Type (Right)
Inner Centre Sill With Track For Sliding Door (Left)
Inner Centre Sill (Right)
Inner Sill (Left)
Inner Sill (Right)

Also requires new front beam and all shox's replacing.
A few small holes in the bottom of the floor as well, but that's minor.
All the brake lines need replacing and probably a load of other things need doing too..............
Par for the course I believe when you have belly pans on :(

Thats a shame,at least the top body don't look too bad.Mines the other way round underneath is not too bad since the welding, but needs a lot of work on the outside now.

Problem is, new sills will mean that the nice paint job will be damaged so will
require painting, no doubt spoing the affect, but it could be worse :D
Oh, the battery tray needs doing as well and a little work to the inside of the windscreen as the internal
panel is non existant - some duffer put a new front panel on, but didn't repair
the internal panel first (wasn't me)

Keep us informed with piccies then as you proceed with the work on the body :D
