Wondered whether anyone one else is down in Wales for the Whitsun week with their EB, we are heading to Pitton Cross on the Gower on Sunday 25th and are there until the Friday, would be good to meet up with some locals, other EB's down there.

Will do buddy, let me know if you are hitting the surf at all, I'm hooked.

Sunday and Monday it is then, I'll be camping if the weather is good, but day trips for the surf if it turns out wet.

Roll on!

Got down to Pitton Cross today (rhossili), and have just sent you a PM.

Are you planning on heading down to the surf tomorrow?

Cheers Graham for the call, shame the surf/weather is so bad. If the surf and weather get better we will be there at the weekend.

I hope the weather changes for you and the family.

Thanks mate, unfortunately the weekend got worse, after doing a tour of the local beaches and deciding that Llangenith looked the best overall we headed back to the campsite only to find our Khyam Ontario 8 tunnel tent being ripped to pieces by the wind, tried to salvage it but the wind was simply too strong and we ended up taking it down and throwing it away.

Most of the fibreglass poles had shattered and had ripped through the surface of the tent leaving holes in lots of places, my youngest lad (13) and I emptied the tent onto the grass whilst my eldest lad (18) hung onto the tent. Packed everything back into Hank and drove home last night getting back into Solihull at 10.15pm after a very very windy drive back (especially over the M4 bridge at Swansea).

The only really reliable thing over the whole weekend was 'Hank' who plodded along doing his own thing, took us on a few mystery tours down country lanes, got sandblasted at Oxwich Bay and got blown around but started everytime he was asked to

The old advert "if only everything in live was as reliable as a VW" sprang to mind on a few occassions.

Now I need to buy a new tent, possibly a drive away awning and keep loking at the Khyam Family one but am not sure its big enough as I want to use it with Hank and a T5 Kombi Sportline arriving soon and there are 5 of us and 2 dogs, any other suggestions?
